PRE-LICENSING

Enrolling in this course is the first step to obtaining a real estate license. This course will cover basic real estate concepts, valuation, contracts and financing, rules, laws and ethics, property management, ownership, transfer of title, land use controls and math computations.

LICENSING EXAM AND APPLYING FOR YOUR REAL ESTATE LICENSE

INDIANA
A state administered exam must be taken within one year of completing and passing your pre-licensing class. Once your pre-licensing class is successfully completed, and you receive a passing score, you must affiliate your license with a real estate company withing 120 days.

MICHIGAN
Once you successfully complete and pass your pre-licensing class, you must apply for your license within 36 months of completing the course.  Once you make application to take the exam, you have one year from the date of application to affiliate your license with a broker.

JOINING A REALTOR ASSOCIATION

Membership in the local, state, and National Association of Realtors is required, earning you the Realtor title. Membership into the local multiple listing service (MLS) is also required.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Continuing education classes are required each year to maintain your license. The cost of these courses varies.
